Dynamic Lighting Sources

The light system in Path of Exile 2 has evolved dramatically:

Crawler: When you're in an expedition-style delve, the mechanical crawler returns, shedding a protective radius of light as it moves. Staying close is essential.

Flares: These limited-use consumables create temporary zones of safety. Upgraded flares can also repel specific enemies or Path of exile currency reveal hidden paths.

Bioluminescent Flora: In natural underground biomes, some plants glow faintly, offering weak, short-lived safety, but monsters can destroy or block them.

Torch Mechanics: Some new maps introduce a player-held light source, reducing your combat options but offering direct control over your visibility and survival.

Strategy: Keep a mental map of nearby light sources and POE currency for sale plan your battles accordingly. Venturing off-path to grab a chest might cost you your life.
